PERRYSBURG, Ohio—Whirlpool Corp. is expanding its U.S. manufacturing footprint with new investment in Ohio, building on decades of production history and positioning its operations for future growth.
PERRYSBURG, Ohio—Whirlpool Corp. plans to invest more than $60 million to convert an existing facility in Perrysburg into a manufacturing site supporting appliance assembly operations in the United States.
MARYSVILLE, OH—Honda Motor Co. has unveiled how it will mass-produce electric vehicles alongside hybrid and traditional internal combustion engine models at its flexible factory here.
SHALERSVILLE, OH—Viega, a maker of metal pipe fittings and valves, is building a $200 million manufacturing facility here, about 40 miles southeast of Cleveland. The 180,000-square-foot plant is expected to be operational in early 2025.
FLINT, MI—General Motors Co. plans to invest $918 million in four U.S. manufacturing sites, including $854 million to prepare these facilities to produce the company’s sixth generation small-block V-8 engine and an additional $64 million in Rochester, NY, and Defiance, OH, for castings and components to support EV production. These investments will enable the company to strengthen its full-size truck and SUV business and support the company’s growing EV product portfolio.
