JACKSON CENTER, OH—Airstream has unveiled the largest expansion in the company’s 88-year history. The travel trailer manufacturer is about to open a 723,000-square-foot factory, which will allow it to double its production.
ORRVILLE, OH—Morgan Truck Body, a manufacturer of light- and medium-duty truck bodies, is opening a new manufacturing facility here with the capability to produce a combined 4,000 dry freight and refrigerated truck bodies for retail and fleet customers annually. Morgan expects to employ 140 team members at the facility.

The new full-time employees will work at an assembly plant in Clyde, OH.
COLUMBUS, OH--A surge in auto-manufacturing jobs since the start of the decade provided a desperately needed lift for Ohio as it climbed out of the worst recession since the Great Depression. But, that growth has stalled, based on recent figures, and analysts expect the job totals to remain flat or even shrink.
DETROIT—Fiat Chrysler has pledged to spend $1 billion to overhaul its assembly plants in Michigan and Ohio to build the upcoming Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Wrangler pickup. The move will add 2,000 jobs to the automaker’s U.S. workforce and will enable the company to move Ram heavy-duty pickup truck production from Mexico to the U.S.
