CAW Eyes Labor Cost Cut

TORONTO-The Canadian Auto Workers union would have to reduce wage, benefit and pension costs by more than $500 million annually at General Motors of Canada to match labor costs at the highest-paying Japanese assembly plant in the United States. Negotiations between the automaker and the union on reducing labor costs are expected to begin later this week. MORE
