PORTAGE, IN—Fronius USA has invested more than $1.5 million in its assembly plant here to make inverters for solar power.

BUFFALO, NY—SolarCity is looking to hire the first employees for its solar panel assembly plant here. The six job openings include human resources and manufacturing management positions. The facility is expected to be one of the world’s largest solar panel factories when it hits full production in early 2017.
