Unified Legacy Invests $125 Million in Georgia Manufacturing, Adds 500 Jobs

MACON, Ga. — Unified Legacy plans to invest $125 million in a new manufacturing facility in Macon, Ga., expanding domestic production capacity for the aerospace, defense and industrial sectors while creating 500 jobs over the next several years.
The Georgia-based precision manufacturing company said the new facility will expand its machining, welding and fabrication capabilities as manufacturers continue increasing focus on U.S.-based production, supply chain resilience and defense manufacturing capacity.
Unified Legacy manufactures welded assemblies, generator enclosures, fuel storage tanks, ground support equipment and precision-machined components for aerospace, defense, data center and industrial customers.
“Georgia has been central to our growth from day one, and this investment in Macon-Bibb County reflects our confidence in the region and its workforce,” said Eric Williams, CEO of Unified Legacy. “As demand continues to grow, this new facility expands our capabilities, increases capacity, and positions us to take on larger, more complex work.”
Construction is expected to begin in 2026 at a site on Barnes Ferry Road in Macon. The company plans to hire for manufacturing, engineering, logistics, quality control and skilled trades positions.
State officials said the expansion reflects continued investment in domestic manufacturing infrastructure tied to aerospace and defense production.
“This announcement underscores the strength of Georgia’s manufacturing and defense ecosystems, and the confidence companies like Unified Legacy have in building and growing here,” said Pat Wilson, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
