HINGHAM, Mass. — Microbot Medical is expanding manufacturing capacity for its LIBERTY endovascular robotic system through a new agreement with contract manufacturer Sanmina as the company prepares to increase production following growing commercial adoption.

The agreement establishes Sanmina as an additional manufacturing site for the FDA-cleared robotic system, adding production capacity while supporting the company's plans to reduce manufacturing costs and improve operating efficiency. 

The LIBERTY System is the only FDA-cleared single-use, remotely operated robotic system designed for peripheral endovascular procedures.

According to Microbot Medical, the expanded manufacturing network is intended to support increasing demand from U.S. customers as well as anticipated international growth following regulatory progress in additional markets.

Sanmina, one of the world's largest electronics manufacturing services providers, will manufacture the LIBERTY System and provide additional production capacity as the company scales commercialization.

Microbot said the agreement also diversifies its manufacturing operations while positioning the company to improve gross margins and support future production growth.
