BIOLASE Expands Manufacturing Capacity for Dental Laser Systems
FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. — BIOLASE is investing nearly $1 million to expand manufacturing operations at its Corona, Calif., facility, increasing production capacity for dental laser systems while upgrading manufacturing infrastructure and cleanroom capabilities.
The project includes construction of new production-support areas, cleanrooms, laser and fiber room upgrades, warehouse improvements and product flow enhancements designed to support higher production volumes and improve operational efficiency.
According to the company, the investment is intended to increase manufacturing capacity while strengthening quality systems, supply stability and long-term production scalability for its Waterlase and Epic dental laser platforms.
The expansion follows BIOLASE's integration into MegaGen and is designed to support growing demand for the company's laser technologies while reinforcing the Corona facility's role in engineering, manufacturing and product development.
"Southern California has been an important technology center for BIOLASE for decades, and we are investing here because the next era of dental laser innovation requires both world-class science and disciplined manufacturing execution," said Jung Hwan Lim, chief operating officer and senior vice president of BIOLASE.
The company said the upgraded facility will support future production growth while improving manufacturing reliability and operational efficiency as adoption of dental laser technology continues to expand.
