Henkel Group Helps Tsunami Victims

DUSSELDORF, GERMANYHenkel Group, manufacturer of Loctite adhesives and Dial soap, has pledged a cash donation of $677,000 to help victims of the recent tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. In addition, Henkel is sending clothing and hygiene products to the region, valued at another $677,000.
"Henkel has endeavored to respond to this catastrophe by providing aid and assistance to the victims in as rapid and as unbureaucratic a manner as possible," says executive vice president of human resources Knut Weinke.
Henkel has about 50,000 employees worldwide, with 77 percent working outside Germany in more than 75 different countries, including India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the United States.
