Boeing to Downsize
CHICAGO--Boeing Co. could lay off up to 30,000 employees by the end of 2002.
Boeing also expects a sharp drop in orders. The company cut its forecasts for aircraft deliveries and said the downturn could run into 2003, as major U.S. airlines trim their flight schedules.
