Adept's robotic SmartModules are available in more than 2,500 configurations. The company's online tool, called the Adept Performance Analyzer, allows engineers to identify the optimum mechanical configuration, design life and pricing of these modules for individual applications.

The analyzer allows engineers to select a primary configuration, controller options and module size, and then review payload capacity and system pricing. For typical high-volume configurations, the engineer can enter the payload, mounting location, and start and stop locations for the primary motion. The analyzer then returns detailed performance data, including cycle time and maximum speed.
