Leoni Focuses on Liquid-Cooled Systems for Fast Charging
NUREMBERG, Germany—Leoni AG has reorganized its automotive cable division. The former Charging and Power Solutions business unit is now called Charging and Power Solutions. It will focus on electromobility applications such as DC charging systems.
“Liquid-cooled fast charging systems are the latest addition to our product range,” says Michael Walz, director of sales and product management at Leoni. “These systems make it possible to regulate the temperature of the charging systems despite high charging currents and to substantially shorten the process of charging the vehicle.”
Leoni’s EcoSense charging cables at produced at its facilities in China, Germany, Mexico and Poland. During the next five years, the company plans to invest in more plants worldwide to address growing demand for electric vehicles.
