Medical Device Manufacturer DexCom Breaks Ground on Its First Facility in Europe

ATHENRY, Ireland—DexCom has commenced construction on its first manufacturing facility in Europe, located in Athenry, County Galway, Ireland.
The new site is expected to generate more than 1,000 jobs, including across human resources (HR), finance and engineering disciplines, the facility will be pivotal in maintaining the supply of rtCGM products across EMEA. The facility aims to reduce costs and enhance sustainability by cutting delivery times. It is designed to produce millions of Dexcom rtCGM sensors annually for people living with diabetes.
