British EV Company Breaks Ground on First US Assembly Plant

DANVILLE, VA—RBW EV Cars, a British manufacturer of electric sports cars, has begun construction of a new assembly plant here, its first in the United States.
The $8 million factory will span 29,000 square feet. In addition to assembly operations, the building will house the company’s sales and marketing, engineering, and research and development teams.
The U.S. operation will be led by NASCAR veteran Peyton Sellers. Production at the facility will initially focus on RBW’s left-hand drive Roadster and GT models, tailored specifically for American drivers. The factory will also produce RBW’s Spirit EV chassis, which other EV OEMs can use as a base for their own designs.Looking for quick answers on assembly and manufacturing topics?
