IMA Automation Creates Medical Technology Division
BOLOGNA, Italy—IMA Automation, a division of the IMA Group and a manufacturer of automated assembly systems, has created IMA Med-Tech, a new business unit specifically for designing and building assembly systems for medical equipment and devices.
The new division will create machines to make a variety of medical devices, including injectors, inhalers, diagnostic products and wearables. It will also make complete processing and packaging lines for contact lenses.
The Med-Tech division will be supported by IMA Automation offices in Bologna; La Chaux de Fonds, Gals and Boudry, Switzerland; Elgin, IL; Penang, Malaysia; and Shanghai, China.
