GREENSBORO, NC—JetZero has selected Greensboro, North Carolina, as the location for its first advanced manufacturing facility to produce the Z4, a next-generation all-wing aircraft. The new facility, located at Piedmont Triad International Airport, is expected to create over 14,500 high-tech jobs and begin customer deliveries in the early 2030s. At full capacity, the site is expected to produce up to 20 aircraft per month by the late 2030s.

The decision to locate in North Carolina was driven by the state’s skilled workforce, strong infrastructure, and supportive business environment. JetZero will work with local and state officials, universities, and technical colleges to develop workforce training programs.

In partnership with Siemens, JetZero is designing a smart, digital-first factory using AI and automation tools to optimize efficiency, accelerate production, and maintain high safety and quality standards. The facility will also support the development of JetZero’s demonstrator aircraft, scheduled to fly in 2027.

The Z4 aircraft is designed to meet growing demand for more efficient, mid-market air travel. With its all-wing design, the Z4 will offer up to 50% better fuel efficiency and fly up to 5,000 nautical miles. It will seat approximately 250 passengers and feature an interior designed for comfort and convenience, including private seating bays, wider aisles, and enhanced accessibility.

JetZero has already secured conditional purchase agreements from United Airlines and Alaska Airlines, with additional deals expected soon. Fourteen airlines are working with JetZero to ensure the aircraft fits into today’s airport infrastructure.
