MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA—Wisk Aero, a pioneer in autonomous, all-electric eVTOL aircraft, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Signature Aviation, the world’s largest private aviation terminal network, to accelerate the development of infrastructure for autonomous Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
The partnership focuses on identifying and planning vertiport locations across Signature’s global network, including key U.S. launch markets such as Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami. This work will assess commercial, regulatory, technical, and operational needs for integrating Wisk’s autonomous flights.
The first project is already underway at Signature’s Ellington Airport (EFD) facility in Houston, Texas, where the companies are designing vertiport concepts, passenger workflows, and infrastructure requirements for Wisk’s Gen 6 aircraft. The collaboration also lays the groundwork for future commercial agreements and expands Wisk’s footprint in Texas.
Leaders from both companies emphasized the partnership’s role in shaping a safe, scalable, and sustainable AAM ecosystem, bringing autonomous regional air travel closer to reality.
