DR-Weld High-Performance Digital Reality Simulation Tool
-Co-developed with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, DR-Weld simulates welding and additive manufacturing. The platform delivers results thousands of times faster than commercial software, reducing processes that once took months down to days.
Extreme Fast-Charging, Affordable EV Battery Cell Architecture
-GM was recognized for its ultra-fast-charging cell design engineered for high performance and cost efficiency. Already deployed in select racing applications, the breakthrough architecture supports rapid energy intake and sets the stage for future high-speed charging in consumer EVs.
Low-Mass, High-Efficiency Medium-Duty Truck Engine
-This next-generation V8 engine prototype reduces weight by 15% and improves fuel efficiency by more than 10%. Developed in collaboration across federal labs, academia, and GM’s engineering teams, the engine demonstrated exceptional durability in extreme testing, pointing to meaningful gains in commercial fleet performance.
