LAS VEGAS—Bosch GmbH is partnering with Microsoft Corp. to expand its Manufacturing Co-Intelligence system. The goal is to “revolutionize production through the use of agentic artificial intelligence” and “explore innovative technologies that use intelligent artificial intelligence to innovate production methods.”
The two companies plan to use AI-enabled technology to make existing production processes more scalable and improve plant efficiency. For instance, by detecting deviations in production processes early, equipment downtime can be minimized and costs reduced.
“Intelligent artificial intelligence can interpret massive amounts of data, make highly autonomous decisions and perform tasks, thereby optimizing production, maintenance and supply chains,” says Tanja Rueckert, a board member at Bosch. “It makes factory processes more intelligent.”
“This collaboration seeks to combine the deep industrial knowledge of Bosch in the production and industrial software sector with the leading IT infrastructure and software expertise of Microsoft,” explains Rueckert.
One of Bosch’s first customers for Manufacturing Co-Intelligence is Sick AG.
