QUAKERTOWN, PA—Demco Automation has donated a new automated assembly system designed and built specifically for the mechatronics program at Upper Bucks County Technical School (UBCTS) in Perkasie, PA. The state-of-the-art automation training system, valued at $73,000, offers students hands-on access to the same technology used in modern manufacturing.
“We’re honored to support the outstanding work happening at UBCTS,” said Stephen Maund, president and CEO of Demco Automation. “By donating this system, we’re investing in a skilled workforce and empowering students with technology that reflects real industrial applications. We hope to inspire the next generation of automation and manufacturing professionals.”
The equipment will be incorporated into the curriculum and teach students how to build, troubleshoot and repair automated equipment. The system is designed to enable the development of hands-on labs that will create a real-world experience preparing students for their future career in mechatronics.
“This donation is not only an investment in our region’s economic future, but more importantly, an investment in our students,” continues Maund.
Pennsylvania State Senator Jarrett Coleman commended Demco Automation on its commitment to civic outreach. “This kind of forward-thinking partnership strengthens our workforce and gives students a competitive edge,” he says. “Demco’s willingness to support UBCTS…is a great example of how the public and private sectors can come together to meet the needs of our community.”
“This donation isn’t just about hardware—it’s about equipping students with 21st-century skills and real-world experience,” adds Pennsylvania State Representative Shelby Labs. “By investing in cutting-edge automation, Demco Automation is helping UBCTS students build futures in advanced manufacturing in Pennsylvania.”Looking for quick answers on assembly and manufacturing topics?
