Based in Somerset, KY, Toyotetsu America (TTA) is an automotive stamping division of Toyota. TTA operates several plants, including one in Sincoe, ON, since 2007. There, workers stamp metal frame parts for cars such as the RAV4, Corol-la and Lexus.
ANN ARBOR, MI—Humantech Inc. has added a new course, Managing an Ergonomics Process, to its seminar series in 2013. This one-day workshop will be held in Ann Arbor, MI, on April 25 and Sept. 19.
SPRINGFIELD, MO—Regal Beloit’s electric motor assembly plant here has operated more than 1,000,000 hours without a lost-time injury. It’s the first time in the 42 year history of the plant that this milestone has been achieved.
The rate of nonfatal occupational injury and illness cases requiring days away from work to recuperate was 117 cases per 10,000 full-time workers in 2011, statistically unchanged from 2010, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
