MARYSVILLE, OH—The 10 millionth U.S.-made Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line March 20 at Honda’s factory here. All totaled, Honda’s four U.S. assembly plants have produced 20 million vehicles to date.
DETROIT—William Clay Ford, the last surviving grandchild of automotive innovator Henry Ford and owner of the Detroit Lions, died Sunday of pneumonia at the age of 88. He was also director emeritus of Ford Motor Co.
YOKOHAMA, Japan—Ninety-six percent of the production process at Toyota’s Motomachi assembly plant is completed by robots. The plant employs 760 robots and produces one vehicle every 135 seconds.
