EVANSVILLE, IN—Systems integrator Evana Automation has received a contract to supply two turnkey assembly and test systems for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. The semiautomatic lines will improve throughput of automobile seat assemblies and capture critical traceability data.

WINDSOR, ON—A $2 billion investment by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles into the development and production of its next-generation minivan will mean the largest retooling project for the Windsor Assembly Plant since the 1980s. DEARBORN, MI—Ford will add 1,550 new jobs at four of its U.S. manufacturing plants to accelerate the production of F-150. Approximately 900 jobs will be added at the company’s Kansas City assembly plant, 150 jobs will be added to its axle factory in Sterling, MI, and 500 will be added at the stamping and assembly plants in Dearborn, MI.
