RUSSELLS POINT, OH—Just six months after installing two wind turbines at its assembly plant here, Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America Inc. has reported that the machines are producing more electrical power than was anticipated. The turbines have exceeded the projected power output figures by 6.3 percent.
TUSCALOOSA, AL—Mercedes-Benz will invest $2.4 billion to boost capacity at its assembly plant here from 185,000 per year to 300,000. The facility will also hire additional workers.

SPRING HILL, TN—Magna International Inc. has started construction on a new, state-of-the-art assembly plant here to make seat assemblies for GM. The new facility is expected to employ approximately 75 people when it begins production next year.
