LAFAYETTE, IN — Subaru of Indiana Automotive announced Wednesday that its assembly plant here will add a new $158 million service parts facility and a transmission assembly shop.
LAFAYETTE, IN–Representatives from Subaru of Indiana Automotive and its workforce development partners recently broke ground for a new, larger technical training center to prepare employees to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The building will be double the size of current facility and feature a simulated factory floor with robots.

LAFAYETTE, IN--Subaru of America is expanding its U.S. assembly plant here to accommodate an upcoming model. The company is shuffling assembly lines and adding space for its upcoming Ascent three-row crossover. Subaru says it is investing $100 million into its plant here and adding about 200 jobs. The additions will yield a total of 5,800 employees working in the facility to produce the Outback, Impreza, Legacy and new Ascent.
