WENTZVILLE, MO—General Motors is investing $157 to upgrade its assembly plant here. The 43-year-old facility northwest of St. Louis produces mid-size pickup trucks, such as the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. It also assembles full-size vans such as the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana.

The investments will focus on upgrading the paint shop, including new equipment and a 28,000-square-foot expansion. According to the automaker, the goal of the project is to “help keep Wentzville modern and competitive over the long term, while reinforcing the plant’s role as a key part of GM’s manufacturing footprint.”
