Ametek Acquires Faro Technologies

BERWYN, PA—Ametek Inc. has acquired Faro Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of 3D measurement and imaging technology.

Ametek is an American multinational conglomerate and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.
Faro joins Ametek as part of its Ultra Precision Technologies Division, which also includes companies such as Creaform, a manufacturer of dimensional metrology and reverse engineering products, and Virtek, a manufacturer of laser-based projection, vision positioning, and AI-powered quality inspection systems.
