Oobotic Opens Automated Manufacturing Facility in Arkansas

MELBOURNE, Ark. — Oobotic has opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Ark., where the company plans to produce consumer products using automated manufacturing systems and AI-enabled production technology.
The company will invest approximately $6.5 million in the 97,000-square-foot facility and expects to create up to 70 jobs over the next four years.
The plant will initially support domestic production of box fans for Aspen Appliance Inc. According to the company, the facility uses advanced automation to help scale U.S. manufacturing while improving production efficiency.
“Oobotic is pleased to establish operations in Melbourne and become part of the local community,” said Billy Faver, plant manager for Oobotic. “This facility will support our manufacturing activities in the United States and provide a foundation for future growth.”
Jason Liszewski, vice president of sales for Aspen Appliance Inc., said the project demonstrates how automation can support the reshoring of consumer product manufacturing.
“Reshoring production to the United States must be done strategically, and we believe advanced AI-enabled automation is a key part of making domestic manufacturing scalable, competitive, and reliable for our retail partners,” Liszewski said.
Oobotic said the facility is equipped with modern manufacturing systems and production equipment and will manufacture electronic products and other consumer goods. The company cited workforce availability, business climate and state incentives among the factors influencing its decision to locate the plant in Arkansas.
