Doosan Robotics to Supply 100 Manufacturing Robots to Kwangjin Group

SEONGNAM, South Korea — Doosan Robotics will supply more than 100 manufacturing robots to Kwangjin Group under a strategic partnership aimed at automating production and strengthening quality competitiveness.
The agreement covers domestic and overseas plants through 2027. Doosan Robotics’ systems will be deployed across Kwangjin Group’s automotive door system production lines, including riveting, assembly and inspection of window regulators and door modules.
Kwangjin Group operates facilities across the world, including in the United States, and supplies major automakers including General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Hyundai Motor and Honda.
According to a news release, integration of Doosan robots in earlier production stages reduced defect rates to zero, a key factor in securing the expanded deployment.
Inwon Park, CEO of Doosan Robotics, said, “This agreement reflects the strong trust placed in our manufacturing robots, particularly following the achievement of a zero-defect rate. We will ensure successful deployment across Kwangjin Group’s facilities and strengthen our position in the global automation market through close collaboration.”
Doosan Robotics’ systems can be implemented without modifying existing factory layouts, providing precision, safety and human-robot collaboration. By minimizing quality variations caused by differences in operator skill, the robots deliver consistent output, shorten cycle times and support stable plant operations, according to the release.
