DETROIT—A former Cadillac plant here will be converted into a new apartment complex that will house some 90 individual apartments.

MARSHALL, MI—Ford Motor Co. plans to build a $3.5 million factory here to mass-produce lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries.
